 CFO Leadership Council of Florida

Welcome to the home page of the Florida CFO Leadership Council. The CFO Leadership Council is a state organization of credit union CFOs, Accounting Personnel, and financial managers who work collaboratively to improve financial management in the credit union industry.

Today, CFOs are expected to be strategic business partners with all phases of the credit union’s operation and close confidants to the CEO. They also, often, oversee the compliance, human resources, and IT departments. With responsibility for managing top- and bottom-line growth, ensuring that technology is evaluated and deployed productively, and communicating financial performance and strategy to board members, credit union management and staff and credit union members, the CFO's job has changed more than that of any other corporate executive.

The CFO Leadership Council provides a forum for discussing financial issues of direct interest to CFOs. Council meetings include presentations by industry experts and roundtable sessions in which members raise current issues for group discussion. The meetings also provide members an opportunity to meet with their peers in other credit unions, learn from each other’s experiences and get timely feedback from their peers.
